UK to Baltic Shipping
Seaway Logistics is an independent UK shipping and freight forwarding company based in Hull. We specialise in breakbulk and project cargo, mobile homes and static caravans, machinery shipping and vehicle transport from the UK to the Baltic region, Eastern Europe and other worldwide destinations.
We arrange regular services from UK ports—particularly Hull and Goole—to Baltic and Polish ports such as Gdańsk, Klaipėda, Riga and Szczecin, with onward delivery options into Poland, Lithuania, Latvia and neighbouring countries.
Hull is our main base, but we also work from Goole and can often use other UK ports when it suits the cargo type, route and schedule. Tell us your cargo location and destination and we’ll advise the most practical loading port.
LOLO, RORO & Out-of-Gauge Cargo
LOLO (lift-on/lift-off) uses cranes to load and discharge cargo—ideal for mobile homes, machinery, crates, steelwork and project cargo. RORO (roll-on/roll-off) is typically for running vehicles and wheeled equipment that can be driven on/off. We’ll advise which method is available and best for your route and cargo
Out-of-gauge cargo is freight that exceeds standard container dimensions or requires specialist handling—such as oversized machinery, wide loads, long-length items or large fabricated components. We regularly handle OOG cargo on LOLO services.
Mobile Homes & Static Caravan Shipping
Yes. We regularly ship mobile homes and static caravans from the UK to ports such as Gdańsk and other Baltic destinations using LOLO handling, with securing and stowage planned around the unit size and lifting points.
Often yes. We’ll confirm lifting points, unit construction and any required spreaders or lifting arrangements. Photos and dimensions help us plan safe handling.
Machinery & Vehicle Shipping
Yes. We ship tractors, combines, harvesters, excavators, loaders, access platforms and other plant. Depending on size and configuration, machinery can be shipped LOLO, on mafi/low-loader solutions, or occasionally in containers.
Yes. We can arrange shipping for cars, vans, 4x4s, light commercial vehicles, trucks and other wheeled equipment on selected services. Share the vehicle type, dimensions and whether it runs/rolls.
Not always. Running vehicles can suit RORO services; non-running vehicles can be shipped using LOLO or specialist handling depending on the route and port.
Ports, Transit Times & Schedules
We support regular services and partner options to ports including Gdańsk, Klaipėda, Riga and Szczecin, with onward delivery to inland destinations across Poland, Lithuania and Latvia.
Transit times depend on the route, port pair and sailing schedule. As a guide, Hull to Gdańsk is often around a few days at sea, with additional time for receiving, loading, discharge and inland delivery.
Frequency depends on the route and vessel schedule. Some services operate weekly; others vary. If you share your cargo readiness date, we’ll confirm the next suitable sailing options.
Delivery from Port (On-carriage)
Yes. We can arrange on-carriage from port to final destination across Poland and the Baltic States, including handling for heavy or oversized loads where required.
Final delivery postcode/town, site access details, offloading requirements (if any), cargo dimensions and weight. Photos help for OOG moves.
Yes. Where required we can manage pre-carriage to the UK port, sea freight, discharge and on-carriage to the final site.
Quotes, Pricing & Booking
Cargo description, dimensions (L×W×H) and weight per unit, number of units, cargo readiness date, UK collection point (if needed), destination port and final delivery location (if needed). Photos or drawings help for oversized cargo.
As early as possible for large or complex shipments to secure space and plan handling. We can also support urgent enquiries and will confirm what’s realistic.
Rates depend on cargo size/weight, handling method (LOLO/RORO), route, port charges, space availability and any extras such as storage, pre-carriage/on-carriage and documentation support.
Customs, Documents & Insurance
Yes. We can support UK export formalities and work with partners at destination where needed. We’ll advise what documents you need based on cargo type and route.
It depends on the shipment, but commonly includes proof of ownership/purchase, registration details (if applicable), exporter/receiver details and any licences required. We’ll confirm the exact requirements once we know the cargo and destination.
We strongly recommend marine cargo insurance for all shipments. We can outline the typical information insurers ask for so you can arrange suitable cover.
